Council Recommends Traffic Jam Solution in N. Jakarta

City Council Commission B does a work visit to review traffic jam problem in North Jakarta. From discussion along with North Jakarta Administration and stakeholder has brought the best solution.

Chairman of City Council Commission, Tubagus Arif disclosed the work visit is the follow up of public complaint and field data regarding traffic problem. Generally, jam that happens in some areas like Plumpang, Lodan and Marunda is due to the passing trailer truck.

"In addition, from traffic accident data in such locations, we recorded it has caused casualties almost every month," he expressed, Tuesday (12/20).

City Council Gives Four Inputs for City Administration

Hence, his party recommends North Jakarta Adminstration to cooperate with stakeholder about JICT, TPK Koja and DTKJ, to manage the traffic of the trailer truck. One of them is by optimizing bugger zone as trailer truck parking lot, setting pool location and applying passing time.

"We'll also ask the completion of JORR toll road to be accelerated. The related dept to also supervise the feasibility and age of the truck that operates," he said.
